Moving ON Training – Overview

Moving ON Training (MOT) was established in 2004 to develop and deliver online evidence based aged care education and training.

We have delivered almost 200 internet accessed education modules and approximately 70,000 online enrolments. Results from over 5000 anonymous online evaluations are consistently > 95% “agree or strongly agree” that the MOT module content is relevant to job roles, has increased the learners knowledge and can be applied to improve the quality of resident or client care.

Our three online libraries are accessible anywhere, at anytime from a computer internet connection. The libraries cover Residential aged care, Community aged care and aged care specific CNE for registered and enrolled nurses.

MOT is an equitable, cost effective and convenient solution to deliver and manage ongoing education and training for the aged care industry.

Our mission is that all aged care sector workers should have ease of access and equity in their opportunities to gain or further develop their competence.

Our objectives are:

  •  Improved resident/client outcomes in dignity, health and overall quality of life
  • Creation and promotion of a sustainable learning culture within aged care organisations, based on valuing learning and its role in staff performance and satisfaction
  • Provision of an education delivery and management system that can be used by aged care providers to meet compliance requirements against accreditation, regulations and legislation
  • Facilitation of continuous quality improvement via an education delivery and management system that can be used to respond to audit results or other identified issues that may impact on clients/residents and others.

MOT consists of a core team. The four company directors have extensive aged care compliance, aged care nursing, adult education and IT expertise. MOT consists of a core team with specialist knowledge in education, courseware development and client service.  An additional organic network of consultant partnerships in the areas of content development, aged care education, e-learning, graphic design and IT supply support and complements the core staff.

We thank MOT for supporting the Symposium and welcome them to Wellington where MOT will host a stand at the Symposium and be very happy to discuss their online training options.
